A project shaped by land and authority

A Stanford address is not a substitute for a land-control and jurisdiction review. Confirm ownership or lease rights, applicable institutional requirements, and the county application path before considering a new residential design.

Questions to bring into your site review

• What rights and approvals govern changes to the property?
• Which county and institutional reviews apply?
• What scope is feasible within those conditions?

These are starting questions for the actual property, not statements that every parcel has the same constraints. A survey, records, and the correct authority help turn them into a feasible scope.

From design to permit issuance to construction

Sky & Song’s full-service offering connects your brief to design and engineering coordination, application management through permit issuance, and the build itself. Required professional roles and deliverables are set for your project.

You make the decisions that shape your home. Our team coordinates the documents, responses, materials, sequencing, and communication that connect those decisions to construction.

Planning resources for Stanford

Start with the official authority linked below and confirm the property’s actual jurisdiction. Review requirements for the proposed scope before relying on a standard permit sequence or schedule.

Local requirements can change. This page does not substitute for parcel-specific authority guidance.

Prefer to buy a home we develop?

Alongside custom commissions, we develop and build our own spec homes for sale across our service areas. Our announced releases are currently in San Francisco: Bernal House, Sunset House, and Laurel Collection, expected in fall–winter 2027.
